Grampians Nature Programs are not a therapeutic service. None of the programs offered are intended to be used as medical advice nor to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent a physical or mental health condition.

Services provided by Grampians Nature Programs are not a substitute for independent professional advice from your own or another medical or mental health professional. We suggest seeking assistance from a licensed medical or mental health practitioner for the diagnosis and treatment of physical and mental health conditions.

Code of Conduct:

The following statements are to guide our behaviour as individuals and as a group during any Grampians Nature Program.

It is unlikely that we will need to refer to these guidelines after the introductory morning on the first day of any program.

We know that these are commonly understood ways of respectful relating.

Over several decades of guiding in both wilderness and nature based programs, occasionally we have encountered individuals who are not prepared to behave respectfully towards others in the group, which is unacceptable.

We will ask people to leave if they repeatedly disregard the code of conduct guidelines.

The code of conduct guidelines are:

  • Use of supportive listening and supportive words where ever possible.

  • Refraining from using abusive language.

  • Willingness to engage in any conflict resolution discussions if needed.

  • Confidentiality of what is spoken in council.

  • Willingness to be sensitive to others needs for privacy or solitude.

  • Respectful attitude and behaviour towards each group member, including the facilitator and the assistant.

  • For safety, being prepared to limit your walks to, ‘Inanna,' and to the fire trail immediately encircling, ‘Inanna.’

  • Complying with all safety directions by the facilitators and assistants.
