 INANNA

The main facilitator here of your nature based program is your own heart cradled within the heart of the land, ‘Inanna.’ You and the land are not separate. Our biology grows from the minerals of the earth. Our human soul and DNA have developed during at least 300,000 years of ancestral experience as hunter gatherers, where we understood ourselves as being at the heart of nature. We are nature, nature is us. The land ‘Inanna,’ under the stewardship of Suzy and Jon Muir, is surrounded by the sandstone cliffs and forests of the Grampians National Park. It’s alive with kangaroos, wallabies, echidna and emus, Wedge Tail Eagles, and the calls of many other birds. The forest is incredibly diverse supporting a number of different ecosystems, from open heath land to dense thickets of hakea and tea tree, to small glades with delicate flowers surrounded by mature native cherry, blackwood, stringy bark and manor gums. In this healthy, wild landscape you sit in the midst of the curious attention of many lifeforms ...the forest is silently aware of you, in much the same way as you are aware of the forest.

We wonder if we are alone in the universe, the only intelligent creatures among the stars, not realising we are surrounded right here at home by intelligent Others, not to mention the stars themselves.
