Jon and Suzy offer bespoke Wilderness Adventures designed to suit the needs and aspirations of small groups.

Whilst the experience of wilderness has been a lifelong passion for  both Jon and Suzy, for the last 30 years they have also balanced their adventures with planning and establishing several sustainable food and energy systems, one of which is documented in the film, 'Suzy and the Simple Man.'

Suzy's skills, as a nature guide have developed through decades of wilderness adventures; guiding both adults and children, and also through studying with The School of Lost Borders. Significant time alone in wild places has facilitated her experience of humanity as nature. A daily practise of immersion within the natural world has become essential to her sense of self.

In 2017 Jon was the recipient of the highest Australian Geographic Society Award, 'A Lifetime of Adventure.' For over 40 years,  Jon's depth of experience with extreme wilderness adventure has allowed the natural world shape him into the spirit of the neolithic hunter and gather. Jon is a motivational speaker, a semi-nomadic food grower and an insightful philosopher and historian. He practises daily meditation in the forest at Inanna.

A strong body of psychological research, supported by widespread anecdotal evidence, confirms that direct contact with nature leads to increased mental health and psychological development.

“I thought the earth remembered me
She took me back so tenderly
Arranging her skirts
Her pockets full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before,
a stone on the riverbed,
Nothing between me and the white fire of the stars,
But my thoughts
and they floated light as moths
Among the branches of the perfect trees
all night I heard the small kingdoms
Breathing around me.
The insects and the birds
Who do their work in darkness.
all night I rose and fell,
as if water, grappling with luminous doom.
By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times
Into something better.
